Learn the granny square crochet technique and crochet a scarf. Ready to take your crochet skills to the next level? This beginner-friendly course is perfect for those who know the basics – like how to hold a hook, chain, and work a double crochet stitch (UK terms) – and are ready to explore the colourful and creative world of granny squares. Across the workshop, you’ll learn how to: Crochet in a granny square style Work in the round and change colours seamlessly Plan and combine squares to create your scarf Join and finish your squares neatly and confidently We’ll build on your existing skills in a relaxed, supportive environment, helping you unlock the full potential of these versatile little squares. You’ll leave with a growing collection of granny squares and plenty of ideas to continue creating at home. All materials provided. This course is designed for improvers – you’ll need to be able to do the basic stitches, but no experience with granny squares is needed. Light refreshments and nibbles provided. A Yellow Umbrella Gifts goodie bag for each participant. Perfect for a mindful evening or creative catch-up with friends.

Due to the cost of materials, preparation time, and limited spaces, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations or no-shows. However, if you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person. To do so, you must request and receive permission from the venue or organizer in advance. This ensures a smooth check-in process and helps us prepare accordingly. Cancellations by Organizer: In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or reschedule a workshop (due to illness, low enrolment, or unforeseen circumstances), you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future session. Permissions to transfer your spot to another participant with permissions can be done via email.
